When a loved one passes abroad, bringing them home requires careful coordination. Our Diaspora Repatriation service guides you through every step: assembling documents, working with embassies and airlines, clearing port health and customs, and transporting the body to the final resting place in Kenya. We offer daily updates and secure payment options to maintain transparency and trust.

Documentation Checklist

The following documents are typically required

  • Proof of identity and citizenship (passport or ID)
  • Certified death certificate from the country of death
  • Embalming certificate
  • Transit permit or health letter depending on the jurisdiction
  • Port health notification and clearance

Our team will advise on any additional requirements based on the country of origin and will compile, translate and submit these documents on your behalf.

Departure Logistics

We liase with the Kenyan embassy or consulate, funeral directors abroad, airlines and cargo handlers. We book the flight, ensure that the casket meets airline specifications, and provide letters of authorization for your designated family member or representative. We keep you informed at every milestone

Arrival & Clearance

On arrival in Kenya, port health officials inspect and clear the body. We accompany you through this process, submit the documentation and obtain release. We then transport your loved one to a mortuary or directly to the upcountry route, depending on your plan

Homeward Journey

After clearance, the upcountry journey begins. Our local team coordinates vehicles and drivers to take your loved one to the final resting place. We ensure continuity of care from the airport all the way to your home or cemetery

Process Tracker

A personalized dashboard allows family members at home and abroad to see each stage of the repatriation: document submission, flight booking, departure, arrival, clearance, and upcountry transport. With consent, we provide brief updates, photos or videos to reassure sponsors and donors that everything is proceeding smoothly.
