In Loving Memory of Mama Anne Moraa Isaboke (1941 – 2026)

It is with deep sorrow and acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing of Mama Anne Moraa Isaboke, aged 84, who peacefully rested in the Lord on July 23, 2026. Born in 1941 in Jogoo, Kisii Town, she was a cherished mother, dedicated teacher, devout Catholic, and a pillar of strength to her community.

Early Life and Education

Mama Anne was the beloved daughter of the late Naftal Openda and Mama Agnes Openda, and daughter-in-law to the late Benbentura Ondieki and Mama Paulinah Omiro. She began her educational journey at Nyakemeni Primary School before completing her intermediate studies at Nyabururu Intermediate School.

Family and Career

In 1959, she was united in Holy Matrimony with Francis Isaboke. Together, they raised a loving family of four sons and three daughters. Mama Anne spent her professional career dedicated to nurturing young minds at Kimathi Primary School under the Municipal Council of Nakuru, serving with unwavering commitment until her retirement.

She is survived by her loving husband, Francis Isaboke; her children Robert, Sofia, Angela, Simon, Veronica, and Dr. Mariga (KTRH); her siblings Samuel Openda, Milkah, Elizabeth, Grace, and Joyce; alongside an extended family of grandchildren, daughters-in-law, and close relatives. She was preceded in death by her beloved children, the late Mathew and the late Anthony.

Funeral & Interment Details

The funeral service and final rites were conducted as follows:

Church Mass: Held at Our Lady of Victory Kisii Town Parish.

Final Rest: Laid to rest at her family home in Nyankongo-Masosa Residence, Kisii County, on Friday, August 7, 2026.
