Obituary & Celebration of Life: Duncan Sibota Omari (1983 – 2026)

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Duncan Sibota Omari, who transitioned on Sunday, April 26, 2026, at the age of 43. A beloved husband, father, and professional, Duncan was a cherished member of the community in Kisii County.

Life and Legacy

Born in 1983 at Ndoinet Forest Station, Molo, Duncan was the son of the late Mzee Stephen Omari Mogere and Mama Mary Kerubo Omari. He was a proud alumnus of Kisii School and Mobamba High School (Class of 2000).

Duncan built a respected career in the retail and commercial sectors, serving with dedication at Masaba General Stores and Ouru Superstores before his tenure at Aquinas Co. He was known by colleagues as the “heartbeat of the workplace”—a diligent, selfless professional who always put the needs of others first.

Faith and Family

He was a staunch member of the SDA Church. Duncan’s life was guided by his deep Christian faith. He is survived by his loving wives, Judith Omuseni and Sphinica Nyang’ara, and his children: Eddy Mogere, Blessings Kwamboka, and Joy Kerubo. He was a pillar to his many siblings and a mentor to his nephews and nieces.

Funeral Arrangements: Family and friends were invited to honor his memory during the following services:

• Public Viewing: Thursday, April 30, 2026, at KTRH Mortuary, followed by a cortege to his home in Mwamogesa Village, Nyacheki Division.
• Funeral Service: Friday, May 1, 2026, at the family residence in Riosugo sub-location, beginning at 10:00 AM.
• Interment: The procession to the gravesite took place at 3:00 PM.
