It is with heavy hearts but profound gratitude that we announce the passing of Mama Esther Mong’ina Mosiori, who went to be with the Lord on Friday, July 31, 2026, at the age of 74.

Early Life & Background

Born in 1952 in Nyamemiso Village, Mama Esther was the beloved daughter of the late Moire and the late Bilia Nyangweso. She was a dear sister to Joel, Peris, Ongera, Kwamboka, and others. She attended Tombe Primary School and Nyabisagua Girls High School, instilling in her a lifelong passion for education, faith, and hard work.

Family & Relationships

In 1971, Esther was united in holy matrimony with Elder Danstan Mosiori. Together, they established a family built on Christian values, dedication, and community service.

• Children: The late Stellah, Joseph, Kepha, Edinah, Dennis (Boyie), and Isaac.
• Daughters-in-Law: Rose, Lydiah, Josephine, and Jerusha.
• Grandchildren: Byron, Blair, Britah, Precious, Kayden, Briana, Berlin, Avril, Jolene, Jocelyne, Nigel, and Noah.

Legacy & Community Service

Mama Esther was known throughout her community as a peacemaker, mentor, and devout servant of God. A hardworking farmer who valued self-reliance, she opened her home as a sanctuary of hospitality, offering counsel, shelter, and care to orphans, relatives, and neighbors alike.

Funeral & Burial Details

• Mortuary Transfer: Departure from Kisii Teaching and Referral Hospital (KTRH) Mortuary on Sunday, August 9, 2026.
• Funeral Service: Held at Kenyamware Primary School on Monday, August 10, 2026.
• Interment: Private burial ceremony at the Mosiori family residence in Kenyamware.
