Obituary For Esther Nyanchama Omenke

In Loving Memory of Mama Esther Nyanchama Omenke (1942 – 2026)

It is with deep sorrow but acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing of Mama Esther Nyanchama Omenke, which occurred on the morning of 19th May 2026 at 05:00 hrs while undergoing treatment.

Birth and Early Life

Mama Esther Nyanchama Omenke was born on 1st January 1942 at Bosunya Village (Nyaburumbasi), Boochi Sub-location, Boochi Chache location, Ogembo Division, Gucha Sub-County (Bomachoge Chache). She was the daughter of the late Ezekiel Orenga Onchiri and the late Yunes Nyagechanga. She grew up as an obedient, humble child who dedicated her early years to supporting her household and family.

Marriage, Family, and Legacy

In 1963, Esther was united in marriage to the late Mzee Shem Omenke Ngoge. Together, they were blessed with a large, loving family of twelve children, including the late OCS Inspector Richard Omenke, Snr. Sergeant Zephaniah Omenke, Agnes, Thomas Omenke (Chief – Kanyimbo Location), Late Cpl Nathan Omenke, late Grace Nyatuka, Jackline, Josephine, Moses Omanga, Damaris, Phyllis, and Irene Omenke (Nakuru Women Prison). She was a proud matriarch, leaving behind a profound legacy that includes 9 children, 66 grandchildren, and 29 great-grandchildren. She was the beloved daughter-in-law of the late Paul Ngoge Magare and the late Kemuma Nyatuka. She also stood as a revered mother-in-law, sister-in-law, korera, aunt, and grandmother to many prominent professionals, community leaders, and civil servants across Kenya.

Life and Career

Mama Esther was an active, hardworking peasant farmer in her community until later in life when health challenges arose. She was widely known for her deep Christian faith, her guiding voice, and her unwavering strength as a shelter and blessing to her entire family.

Funeral and Burial Rites Schedule

The matrix of final send-off services conducted for Mama Esther Nyanchama Omenke was organized as follows:

Thursday, 11th June 2026:

10:00 AM – Family and friends gathered at Ram Funeral Home.

11:30 AM – Departure from Ram Funeral Home.

01:30 PM – Arrival at Getunwa PAG Church for the main Mass Celebration.

04:30 PM – Arrival at her home for body viewing, followed by short speeches and prayers.

06:00 PM – Body taken to her house for an overnight vigil.

Friday, 12th June 2026:

08:30 AM – Arrival of visitors and mourners at the family home.

09:30 AM – Public viewing of the body.

10:00 AM – Devotion and opening prayers, followed by tributes from community members, friends, relatives, and administration officials.

01:15 PM – Church service, including Eulogy reading, Sermonette, and family introductions.

03:00 PM – Procession to the graveside and final burial rites.
