In Loving Memory of Harrison Michieka Oyaro

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Harrison Michieka Oyaro, who departed this life on May 25, 2026, at the age of 64. A devoted husband, beloved father, cherished grandfather, and respected community member, Harrison leaves behind a rich legacy of hard work, faith, and family devotion.

Life and Journey

Harrison was born on April 12, 1962, to the late Petro Oyaro Keoga and the late Priscilla Bitengo Oyaro at Bonyameko Village, Nyacheki Location, Nyamache Sub-County within Kisii County. He began his early education at Rabrana SDA Primary School, laying a foundation of strong spiritual and social values that he carried throughout his life.

As a passionate and dedicated farmer, Harrison spent his life working the soil of his hometown. He was well-known in the local agricultural community for cultivating tea, vegetables, sugarcane, and bananas, alongside rearing livestock. His hard work provided a warm and nurturing home for his family.

Family and Tributes

Harrison was united in holy matrimony to his loving wife, Teresia Nyaboke Michieka, in 1990. Together, they were blessed with a beautiful family of eight children: Nancy, Edna, Judy, Wilkister, Ewan, Denis, Elijah, and Eunice. He was also a proud grandfather to seven grandchildren: Princes, Kerubo, Prince, Nyarombam, Edwin, Daisy, Moses, and Zachariah.
