Obituary of the Late Jared Omayio Nyaosi

It is with deep sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Jared Omayio Nyaosi on the morning of June 27, 2026, while receiving treatment at the Kisii Teaching and Referral Hospital (KTRH). Jared was a beloved husband, a dedicated father, a cherished grandfather, and a respected community leader in Kisii.

Early Life and Education

Born in 1964 to Barnabas Nyaosi Kirotwa and the late Salome Mong’ina, Jared grew up with a deep devotion to his family. He began his early education at Nyamware Primary School before moving to Iberia Primary School to complete his Certificate of Primary Education (C.P.E). He later attended Riondonga Secondary School, completing his Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (K.C.S.E) in 1986.

Marriage and Family

Jared was a loving and responsible family man who took immense pride in providing for his household. In 1990, he married his first wife, Bathsheba (Sheba), and they were blessed with six children: Elijah, Sabina, Erick, Hesbone, Julius, and Hezron. Later, he married his second wife, Mary, with whom he shared four children: Hildah, Naomie, Delphine, and Raymond. He was also a proud grandfather to twelve wonderful grandchildren.

Career and Community Leadership

A hardworking farmer throughout his life, Jared specialized in tea and coffee cultivation alongside livestock farming. His absolute dedication and integrity earned him profound respect among his fellow farmers, leading him to serve as a local agricultural leader. He was also heavily involved in community welfare, notably serving as the Chairperson of the Peace Committee in his locality and actively participating in community policing initiatives.

Faith and Values

Jared was a faithful, lifelong member of the Seventh-day Adventist (SDA) Church. His unwavering faith in God served as the foundation for his life. Known for his humility, kindness, and willingness to serve others, his daily actions beautifully reflected his Christian values.

The final journey and celebration of life for the late Jared Omayio Nyaosi took place according to the schedule below:

Tuesday, 7th July, 2026:

07:00 AM – 08:00 AM: Preparation of the body at the Kisii Teaching and Referral Hospital (KTRH) Morgue.

09:00 AM: Family, relatives, and friends assemble at the KTRH Morgue.

09:30 AM: Viewing of the body.

11:00 AM: Departure for his home in Kisii.

12:00 NOON: Arrival at home, followed by prayers and a sermon at 12:30 PM.

02:00 PM: Tributes and speeches from family, relatives, friends, and clans.

04:00 PM: Body leaves for the homestead for an overnight vigil.

Wednesday, 8th July, 2026

08:00 AM: Morning prayers at home.

09:00 AM: Songs of praise and welcoming speeches from friends and relatives.

11:00 AM: Main Church Service.

01:30 PM: Remarks from the administration and political class.

03:00 PM: Departure to the graveside for the burial service.
