Celebrating the Life and Legacy of Jason Getutu Mogaka (1980 – 2026)
It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Jason Getutu Mogaka, who went to be with the Lord on 21st June 2026 following a tragic road accident. He was a cherished husband, a devoted father, a loving son, and a highly respected member of his community.
Early Life and Education
Jason was born on 15th January 1980 to Grace Kerubo Achoki Mogaka. As an only child, he grew up surrounded by family in Mekenene Village, Mwongori Settlement Scheme, where the values of dignity, discipline, and community leadership were deeply instilled in him. In keeping with the traditions of the Abagusii community, he transitioned into manhood with a strong sense of responsibility.
He attended Mekenene Primary School before moving to Kericho Boys Primary School to sit for his KCPE examinations. Jason went on to complete his secondary school education at St. Paul’s Gekano Boys High School. Driven by a passion for lifelong learning, he pursued Accounting at Visions College Nairobi (completing KASNEB Stage I) and later completed business management coursework at the Kenya Institute of Management (KIM).
Work and Family Life
An industrious and passionate entrepreneur, Jason dedicated his professional life to agricultural excellence. He established himself as a prominent dairy and general farmer in his home area, taking great pride in supporting his family through his hard work and resilience.
Jason was a loving husband to Everlyne Nyamweya and a deeply devoted father to his two children, Zephania Maisiba and Denzel Nyamweya. His family was his greatest joy, and he worked tirelessly to provide a bright future for them.

The final rites and celebration of his impactful life took place through a series of dedicated services:
- Procession: Held on Thursday, 9th July 2026, starting from the KTRH Morgue with community services at Damside before departing for Senta.

“He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.” — Revelation 21:4
