Celebration of Life: Mary Nyanchama Omari John Onchera

It is with heavy hearts and humble acceptance of God’s will that Executive Funeral Services announces the passing of Mary Nyanchama Omari John Onchera, who rested peacefully on 12th August 2026.

Life & Background

Mary was born on 1st January 1952 at Simwaga Village, Ikuruma Sub-Location, Monyerero Ward in Kisii County. She was the cherished daughter of the late Milka Kenanda and the late Nyakundi Mongare. She attended Kenyooro Primary School (1964–1973) and dedicated her professional life to farming and community leadership.

Spiritual Walk

Baptised at Kenyooro Pentecostal Assemblies of God Church in 1966, Mary later joined and remained a devout, active member of the Repentance and Holiness Church (Miruka Alter) until her passing.

Family & Legacy

In 1975, Mary was united in marriage with the former Councilor, the late John Omari Onchera. Together, they were blessed with four children: Pauline Kerubo, the late Nahashon Nyaneti, Deputy Archbishop Suleiman Kimbo, and Naomi Gesare. She leaves behind a cherished legacy including 13 grandchildren and a wide circle of extended family.

Funeral Arrangements & Service

  • Thursday, 27th August 2026: Body procession, viewing, and scripture reading took place at Chironi Funeral Home.
  • Friday, 28th August 2026: Family assembly, prayers, and final burial service were conducted at the family home, led by Pastor Reuben Akwoyo and clergy from the Repentance and Holiness Church.

May her soul rest in eternal peace.
