It is with deep sadness that the family of Teresa Kerubo Ogoti announces her passing on July 22, 2026, at the age of 69.

Early Life & Family

Born in 1957, Teresa was the daughter of the late Isiah Onywere, the late Peris Gesare, and the late Sarange. She was a loving sister to Hellen, the late Nyakundi, the late Nyaora, the late Ong’era, the late Passificah 1, Ong’ari, Tom, Moraa, Passificah 2, Grace, Jane, the late Dinah, and Sabina.

She was a devoted mother to Alice Kwamboka, the late Dinnah Boibori, Serah Biyaki, Brian Ongera, and Emmaculate. She was also a mother-in-law to Tom, Henry, Josphat, and Emmaculate, and a cherished grandmother to 10 grandchildren (including Elmer, Ephraim, Samson, Bryton, Eleanor, Robina, Evani, Tabitha, Philip, and Isaac) and 6 great-grandchildren.

Spiritual Life & Community Service

A committed Christian throughout her life, Teresa was a faithful member of the Nyangori Seventh-Day Adventist (SDA) Church. She served her community and church passionately in various roles, including Church Treasurer, Deaconess, Church Counselor, and Children Ministry Leader. Professionally, she was active in farming and local business in the Nyangori and Rigoma areas.

Funeral Arrangements & Service Details

• Thursday, August 6, 2026: Departure from Ichuni Mission Mortuary to her home ground in Nyangori (Bonyama) for night vigil and viewing.
• Friday, August 7, 2026: Funeral and burial service held at Rigoma Ground, with final rest at her family home in Nyangori, Nyamira County.
